Erythemis carmelita is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Edward Bruce Williamson in een publicatie uit 1923.
De soort komt voor in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazilië en Peru.
Erythemis carmelita staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2007.
