About this species
Rondeletia loricata is a species of redmouth whalefish found in the temperate and tropical oceans at depths of from 100 to 3,500 m (330 to 11,480 ft). This species grows to a length of 11.0 cm (4.3 in). It is known to be a vertical migrant, occurring at shallower depths at night.

网肩龙氏鲸头鱼（学名：Rondeletia loricata，台湾作网肩红口仿鲸）又名红口仿鲸、鲸头鱼、网肩龙氏鱼，为辐鳍鱼纲金眼鲷目红口仿鲸科红口仿鲸属的其中一种鱼类。分布于全球各大洋热带至温带海域，包括太平洋、印度洋和大西洋的深海中以及南海、东海等海域。该物种的模式产地在宫城。该鱼属深海鱼类，栖息深度100-3500公尺，体长可达11公分。
