About this species
Erythrodiplax maculosa is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Nannophya maculosa door Hermann August Hagen in een publicatie uit 1861.
De soort komt voor in Venezuela, Guyana, Frans-Guyana, Brazilië en Paraguay. Erythrodiplax maculosa staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2007.
