Charax gibbosus es una especie de peces de la familia Characidae en el orden Characiformes. Los machos pueden llegar a alcanzar los 12,5 cm de longitud total. Habita zonas de clima tropical, entre 24 y 27 °C de temperatura en la cuenca del río Esequibo (Guayana) y ríos costeros de Surinam.

驼背桂脂鲤，为辐鳍鱼纲脂鲤目脂鲤亚目脂鲤科的其中一个种，为热带淡水鱼，分布于南美洲埃塞奎博河及圭亚那沿岸淡水流域，体长可达12.5公分，栖息在底中层水域，生活习性不明，可作为观赏鱼。
