About this species
Harttia guianensis is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Loricariidae, the suckermouth armored catfishes, and the subfamily Loricariinae, the mailed catfishes. This catfish occurs in French Guiana and Suriname where it is found in the Maroni, Mana, Sinnamary and Approuague River basins. This species grows to a standard length of 17.5 cm (6.9 in).

Harttia guianensis is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de harnasmeervallen (Loricariidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 2001 door Rapp Py-Daniel & Oliveira.
De typelocatie is Saut Athanase, Approuague rivier, in het Frans overzees departement Guyane. De vis is een bodembewoner en wordt 16,7 cm lang (standaardlengte). De soort wordt aangetroffen in rivieren van Guyane en in de rivier Marowijne die de grens met Suriname vormt. De vis kan plaatselijk talrijk zijn en komt vaak samen met Cteniloricaria platystoma voor.

圭亚那哈氏甲鲇（学名：Harttia guianensis）为辐鳍鱼纲鲇形目甲鲇科的一种热带淡水鱼，种加词 guianensis 意为“圭亚那的”。分布于南美洲Sinnamary与Approuague河流域，体长可达17.5公分，栖息在沙石底质底层水域，生活习性不明。
