Hypophthalmus marginatus, commonly called the Mapará, is a species of demersal potamodromous catfish of the family Pimelodidae that is native to Amazon and Orinoco River basins of Brazil, Peru and major rivers of French Guiana and Suriname.

Kwasimama(Hypophthalmus marginatus) is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de antennemeervallen (Pimelodidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1840 door Valenciennes.
Het is een vis die zich aan vrij extreme condities kan aanpassen. In Suriname wordt hij zelfs in volgelopen mijnschachten aangetroffen ondanks de lage zuurgraad en andere vervuiling.

绿边低眼鲶，为辐鳍鱼纲鲶形目长须鲶科的其中一种，分布于南美洲亚马逊河、奥里诺科河、圭亚那的淡水流域，栖息在河川底部，属肉食性，生活习性不明，可作为食用鱼。
