Perithemis cornelia is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld door Friedrich Ris in een publicatie uit 1910.
De soort komt voor in Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, Brazilië, Peru en Bolivia.
Perithemis cornelia staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2007.
