Erythemis haematogastra is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Libellula haematogastra door Hermann Burmeister in een publicatie uit 1839.
De soort komt voor in Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Suriname, Frans-Guyana, Brazilië, Ecuador en Peru.
Erythemis haematogastra staat op de Rode Lijst van de IUCN als niet bedreigd, beoordelingsjaar 2007.
