Diastatops obscura is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Libellula obscura door Johan Christian Fabricius in een publicatie uit 1775.
De soort komt voor in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Brazilië, Bolivia en Argentinië.
