About this species
Erythrodiplax famula is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Libellula famula door Wilhelm Ferdinand Erichson in een publicatie van Richard Schomburgk uit 1848.
De soort komt voor in Trinidad en Tobago, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Frans-Guyana en Brazilië. Mogelijk komt de soort ook in Noordoost-Argentinië voor.
