About this species
Elasmothemis cannacrioides is een libellensoort uit de familie van de korenbouten (Libellulidae), onderorde Anisoptera (echte libellen). De wetenschappelijke naam van deze soort is voor het eerst voorgesteld als Dythemis cannacrioides door Philip Powell Calvert in een publicatie uit 1906.
De soort komt voor in Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Trinidad en Tobago, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Frans-Guyana, Brazilië, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia en Argentinië.
