About this species
Farlowella nattereri is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Loricariidae, the suckermouth armored catfishes, and the subfamily Loricariinae, the mailed catfishes. This catfish is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana and Peru. It occurs in the upper Essequibo and Amazon basins. This species grows to a maximum standard length of 26.5 cm (10.4 in).

Farlowella nattereri is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de harnasmeervallen (Loricariidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1910 door Steindachner.
