Xenophthalmichthys danae is a species of pencil smelt found in deep waters to 1,250 metres (4,100 ft). This species has been found in the western Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean and is suspected to be circumtropical. This species grows to a length of 88 millimetres (3.5 in) SL.

Xenophthalmichthys danae is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van kleinbekken (Microstomatidae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1925 door Regan.

奇眼珍鱼（学名：Xenophthalmichthys danae）为辐鳍鱼纲水珍鱼目小口兔鲑科的其中一种，为深海鱼类，分布于大西洋及西太平洋热带海域，栖息深度0-1250米，体长可达10公分，栖息在中层水域，生活习性不明。
