The white-tailed goldenthroat (Polytmus guainumbi) is a species of hummingbird in the subfamily Polytminae, the mangoes. It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.

El colibrí guainumbí (Polytmus guainumbi), también denominado colibrí llanero (en Colombia), picaflor dorado (en Argentina), picaflor de antifaz (en Bolivia, Paraguay y Argentina), colibrí gargantidorado (en Venezuela, garganta-de-oro de cola blanca (en Perú) o colibrí de garganta dorada, es una especie de ave apodiforme de la familia Trochilidae, una de las tres pertenecientes al género Polytmus. Es nativo de América del Sur.

白尾金喉蜂鸟体重约5.2克，翼长约59.2毫米，嘴峰长约25.2毫米，喙宽度约2.8毫米，喙厚度约2.2毫米，跗跖长约4毫米，尾长约40毫米。白尾金喉蜂鸟在其分布区内为留鸟，其栖息在开放的草原环境中，食性为草食性，主要食物来源是植物的花蜜。
