A butterfly park at Lelydorp, 30 to 45 minutes from Paramaribo, holding over 150 species. The breeding operation was started by Ewout and Amira Eriks in 1996 and opened to visitors around 2010. Tours follow the full cycle from egg through larva and cocoon to butterfly, and the site also has a gallery of native flora and fauna, a hand-painted 360-degree panorama of Surinamese landscapes upstairs, and a small cafe serving cold drinks and local snacks.
