Ston Eiland Resort

A resort on a peninsula in the Brokopondo reservoir at the foot of the Brownsberg, reached by dirt road from Brownsweg roughly 120 km south of Paramaribo. Cabins have beds and fans, and there is a restaurant and a boat dock for trips onto the lake, where drowned tree trunks still break the surface. Swimming, fishing and canoeing are the main draws.
