Sana Budaya is a cultural and community centre of the Vereniging Herdenking Javaanse Immigratie (VHJI) in Suriname. The centre is dedicated to the preservation, promotion and transmission of Javanese and Surinamese cultural heritage. Sana Budaya provides a range of cultural, educational and community activities, including cultural events, performances, exhibitions, workshops, meetings and other public activities. The centre also provides facilities for cultural fairs, markets, sports and community gatherings. Located on the Sana Budaya premises are the Soeki Irodikromo Volksacademie voor Kunst en Cultuur (VAKC), which supports arts and cultural education, and V.H.J.I. Documentation Centre, which contributes to the preservation, documentation and accessibility of historical and cultural knowledge and materials related to Javanese heritage in Suriname.
