About Muskieto Survivor

Every Surinamese knows the battlefield. The sun drops, the terras is finally cool enough to sit on, and the first muskieto finds your ankle before your drink finds the table. What follows is a national ritual: the electric mepper comes out, somebody lights a wierook coil, somebody else swears by repellent, and the evening becomes a war of attrition that the muskietos usually win.

This game is that evening, escalated. You steer one person around one porch while the weapons do their own work. Blood drops from fallen bugs level you up, and every level is a choice: a faster mepper, wider wierook smoke, a stronger repellent ring, a sling shot, a cold djogo for your health, or better slippers for your feet. Push any of them to level five and it evolves. At minute three a kakalaka the size of a slipper walks on. At minute nine the stroom goes, because of course it does, and you finish the fight in the dark.

One run is ten minutes, which is exactly one wierook coil of real time. Survived it? Try Aboma, the wild Korjaal Run, the map game Pe A De?, de Sabi Suriname-quiz of de Switi Mini-kruiswoordraadsel.

What is Muskieto Survivor?

A survival game in the Vampire Survivors style, set where every Surinamese has fought this war: the terras at dusk. You only steer. Your weapons, from the electric mepper to the wierook coil, fire automatically. Muskietos stream in from every side for ten minutes, and your job is to be alive when the clock runs out.

How do I play?

Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or drag anywhere on the screen on a phone. That is the only control: every weapon fires by itself, and the mepper zaps whatever is in front of you, so which way you move is which way you fight. Dead bugs drop blood drops; walk near them to collect XP. Each level-up offers three upgrades: new weapons, stronger weapons, or passives like the Cold Djogo. At level five an item evolves into something much nastier. On a phone, tap the fullscreen button and play portrait, exactly how it is meant to be played.

What is the timeline?

The first minute is slow black muskietos. From minute one the striped dengue muskietos weave in. At minute three a giant kakalaka with 500 HP walks on, and killing it drops an Eksi Koekoe chest with free upgrades. From five to eight minutes the bigi freifrei rain down, and at minute nine the stroom goes and everything comes at you at triple speed in the dark. Watch for the rare pagara drop: it clears the whole screen with one bang.

Is het gratis?
