About Muskieto Survivor
Every Surinamese knows the battlefield. The sun drops,
the terras is finally cool enough to sit on, and the first muskieto finds your ankle before your drink finds
the table. What follows is a national ritual: the electric mepper comes out, somebody lights a wierook coil,
somebody else swears by repellent, and the evening becomes a war of attrition that the muskietos usually win.
This game is that evening, escalated. You steer one
person around one porch while the weapons do their own work, and the swarm is there from the first second.
Blood from fallen bugs levels you up fast, and every level is a choice: a chaining mepper, wierook smoke,
a repellent ring, a sling shot, Mama's slipper that always comes back, Madame Jeanette peppers that set the
tiles on fire, a cold djogo, bakabana or a spoon of sambal. Push any of them to level five and it evolves.
The kakalakas make a run for it, a Bigi Kakalaka the size of a slipper walks on, the waswasi queen comes
out of her nest, the stroom goes, because of course it does, and you finish the fight at Owru Yari with
pagara going off in the dark.
A survival game in the Vampire Survivors style, set where every Surinamese has fought this war: the terras at dusk. You only steer. Your weapons fire automatically. Muskietos swarm in from the first second for five minutes, and your job is to be alive when the clock runs out.
How do I play?
Move with WASD or the arrow keys, or drag anywhere on the screen on a phone. That is the only control: every weapon fires by itself. Dead bugs drop blood; walk over it to level up, and every level offers three upgrades. You carry four weapons and three passives: the electric mepper (chains between bugs), wierook coil, insect repellent, sling shot, Mama's slipper (a boomerang) and Madame Jeanette peppers that leave burning puddles, plus the Cold Djogo, slippers, bakabana and sambal. At level five an item evolves. On a phone, tap fullscreen and play portrait.
What is the timeline?
Muskietos from the first second, striped dengue muskietos from 0:30, a kakalaka run across the floor at 1:15 and the Bigi Kakalaka boss at 1:45. From 2:30 the freifrei storm, at 3:30 the waswasi queen with her wasps, at 4:15 the stroom goes and at 4:35 it is Owru Yari: grab the pagara for screen-clearing bangs. Bosses drop an Eksi Koekoe chest with free upgrades. Watch for the Lobi magnet (pulls in all blood) and telo snacks (health).
Does my progress save?
Yes. Every run pays out SRD coins based on the blood you collected and how long you lasted. Coins buy permanent upgrades in the shop, from Thick Skin to an Extra Life, plus new characters like Oom Tjin, Tante Anita and Pinto. Survive one full run and you unlock Hyper Mode, a run at double pace, and the second stage: Palmentuin bij Nacht, a moonlit park with swooping vleermuis and glowing glimworms that burst with bonus XP. Everything saves automatically on your device, and the Sync progress button in the menu carries your profile to another phone or PC. No account needed.
Is it free?
Yes. Muskieto Survivor is free, runs in your browser, and needs no app or account.
