Green / red status is tracked live for Cashpnt and DSB only (their machines publish a status feed), refreshed each rebuild, roughly every 15 minutes; Cashpnt’s own status is indicative, not guaranteed real-time. Every other bank’s ATMs are listed too, marked “no live status”.

Only Cashpnt and DSB machines have live coordinates and status. Grey markers are Republic Bank and Hakrinbank ATMs (approximate location, no live status). Map tiles © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Other bank ATMs
These banks publish their locations but not a live status feed, so their machines are shown as cards marked “no live status”. Any Surinamese bank card works at all of them, and at every Cashpnt.

Which card works where
Any Surinamese bank card works at every ATM on the BNETS network. For a foreign card, look for the Mastercard (or, at Republic Bank, Visa) logo on the machine.
| Network | Local (BNETS) | Mastercard | Visa | Foreign | Daily limit |

* Cashpnt states its machines take local cards and Mastercard; in practice, acceptance of foreign-issued cards varies by machine and some take only Surinamese cards. “Most” / “Varies” = accepted at a portion of that network’s machines. A cash withdrawal costs SRD 10 + 10% VAT (about SRD 11) at any BNETS ATM, Cashpnt or bank. From 1 August 2026 BNETS is adjusting the ATM withdrawal and balance-inquiry fees; the new amounts were not yet published when this page was built. Daily limits shown are each bank’s own. Data verified July 2026 from each bank’s own website.
Good to know
Limits & fees
- Cash withdrawal fee: SRD 10 + 10% VAT (about SRD 11) at any BNETS ATM, Cashpnt or bank (since March 2024). Changing 1 August 2026 — new amounts not yet published.
- Daily limits (each bank’s own): DSB and Hakrinbank SRD 10,000, Republic Bank SRD 20,000, VCB SRD 4,000 (max SRD 2,000 per transaction). At a Cashpnt your own bank’s limit applies.
- A machine dispenses a limited number of notes at once — large amounts may need two withdrawals (e.g. SRD 3,000 as SRD 2,000 + SRD 1,000).
- Foreign cards: expect an issuer fee and exchange markup on top.
Problems
- Broken Cashpnt, wrong amount or swallowed card: Cashpnt helpdesk 132 or WhatsApp +597 855 4040.
- A swallowed foreign card can be collected from the Cashpnt office, weekdays 08:00–15:30.
- A bank’s own ATM (DSB, Republic, Hakrinbank): contact that bank.
- Cover the keypad with your other hand when entering your PIN.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which ATMs in Suriname accept foreign Visa or Mastercard cards?
Republic Bank ATMs take both international Visa and Mastercard and are the safest bet for a foreign card. DSB’s own ATMs take Mastercard and most foreign cards. Cashpnt says its machines take Mastercard, but acceptance of foreign-issued cards varies from machine to machine and some take only Surinamese cards. As a rule, look for the Mastercard (or, at Republic Bank, Visa) logo on the machine. Purely local ATMs such as Hakrinbank’s branch machines work only with a Surinamese bank card.
What is BNETS and what is a Cashpnt?
BNETS (Banking Network Suriname) is the shared network that lets any Surinamese bank card work in any member bank’s ATM. Cashpnt is BNETS’ own network of red-and-grey cash machines, a joint venture of DSB, Finabank, GODO, Hakrinbank, the Postspaarbank (SPSB) and VCB Bank that has taken over most of those banks’ off-site ATMs. Your card and PIN stay the same. Republic Bank is not part of Cashpnt and runs its own machines.
How much can I withdraw per day?
Cashpnt does not set the daily limit — your own bank does, together with your balance. A machine also dispenses only a set number of notes at once, so a large amount can need two withdrawals (for example SRD 3,000 as SRD 2,000 plus SRD 1,000). Hakrinbank quotes a limit of SRD 10,000 per day across machines.
Are there fees to use an ATM?
A cash withdrawal costs SRD 10 plus 10% VAT, about SRD 11, whether you use a Cashpnt or a bank’s own ATM (a BNETS network fee in place since March 2024). BNETS has told the banks it will adjust the ATM withdrawal and balance-inquiry fees from 1 August 2026; the new figures were not yet published when this page was built, so check with your bank. A foreign card adds its issuer’s fee and an exchange-rate markup on top.
How live is the status shown here?
It comes straight from DSB’s and Cashpnt’s own status feeds, refreshed every time the site rebuilds (roughly every 15 minutes), and the page also tries to pull a fresh reading when you open it. Cashpnt itself calls its status ‘indicative, not guaranteed real-time’, so treat a green marker as very likely working, not a promise.
An ATM kept my card — what do I do?
For a Cashpnt, contact the Cashpnt helpdesk on 132 or WhatsApp +597 855 4040; a swallowed foreign card can be collected from their office on weekdays between 08:00 and 15:30. For a bank’s own ATM (DSB, Republic, Hakrinbank), contact that bank. Cashpnt cannot see your account, so a blocked-card message still has to be sorted out with your own bank.
