The Craft Market on the Waterkant in Paramaribo is where local makers sell handicrafts, jewellery, woodcarving and clothing. It reopened on 13 September 2025, together with new food stands, as the first part of the renovated Waterkant along the Suriname River. The renovated Waterkant is overseen by a management council in which the stallholders are represented. Stall hours vary, so the best time to visit is during the day.
