The Highway Markt is a Sunday market on the Martin Luther Kingweg in Houttuin, Wanica, known locally as the Sunday market along the Highway. Stalls sell vegetables and fruit, fresh and dried fish, meat and cooked food. The market buildings were rebuilt in 2023 and 2024 for more than SRD 6 million. Sunday morning is the main market day.
