Spelling rules used
- Numbers up to a thousand are written as one word, for example tweehonderdvijftig.
- After duizend comes a space, and miljoen and miljard stand apart, for example tweeduizend vijfhonderd.
- A diaeresis where two vowels meet, for example tweeëntwintig.
- The number one is written één when it stands alone, to avoid confusion with the article een.
Dutch spelling follows the Taalunie rules for numbers.
